Abstract

Önceden bir politikacı ve başbakan olan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, yaklaşık yirmi yıldır Türkiye'de önemli bir siyasi figür olmuştur. Adını sadece Türk medyasında değil, yabancı basında da özellikle ABD medyasında görmek mümkündür. Erdoğan, ABD medyasında birçok biçimde temsil edilmektedir. Bu makale, Erdoğan'ın 2007-2014 yılları arasında The New York Times ve The Washington Post'un başyazılarında nasıl çerçevelendiğini keşfetmeyi amaçlamaktadır.

Abstract

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who is the President of the Republic of Turkey, formerly a politician and prime minister, has been an important political figure in Turkey for nearly two decades. It is possible to see his name not only in the Turkish media, but also in the foreign media, especially in the US media. Erdoğan is represented in many forms in the US media. This article aims to explore how Erdoğan was framed in editorials of The New York Times and The Washington Post between 2007 and 2014.
