Türkiye Doğu uygarlık alanındadır, Anadolu Türklüğü de bir Doğu toplumudur. Anadolu Türklüğünün Batı’ya karşı direnişi ve sadece Doğu’da değil, Batı’da da dikkatle izlenmekte ve geniş kesimleri etkilemektedir. Anadolu Türklüğünün Doğu-Batı içindeki yeri ve rolü günümüzü de etkilemektedir. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kuruluşu Anadolu Türklüğünün XX. yüzyılda aldığı biçimdir. Anadolu hareketinin yönünü belirleyen ve diğer güçlerden onu ayıran en önemli özelliği toplumlararası ilişkiler içinde yerini ve rolünü belirleme çabası içinde iktidarını Anadolu Türklüğüne dayama çabasıdır. Mevcut egemen koşullara karşı Anadolu hareketinin Türk özelliği ve Batı dünya egemenlik düzeni ile çelişkisi ona bağımsız bir halk ayaklanması niteliği kazandırmıştır. Günümüzde Türkiye’de cumhuriyetin kuruluşuna yönelik siyasi suçlamalarla karşılaşılmaktadır. Bu eleştiri giderek yeni bir devlet çözümünün ve kavrayışı olmanın dışında devletin ve siyasetin reddedilmesine dönüşmektedir.
Turkey is located within the realm of Eastern civilizations, and the Turkish community of Anatolia is a part of this Eastern societal construct. The resistance of the Anatolian Turks against the West is closely monitored not only in the East but also in the West, and it significantly influences wide-ranging groups. The position and role of the Anatolian Turks within the East-West dichotomy continue to have an impact on modern times. The foundation of the Republic of Turkey represents the form that Anatolian Turkishness took in the 20th century. A defining feature that guides the Anatolian movement and sets it apart from other forces is its endeavor to base its power on the Anatolian Turkish identity within the framework of international relations. The Turkish characteristic of the Anatolian movement and its conflict with the Western global hegemony have given it the nature of an independent national uprising against the prevailing dominant conditions. Today in Turkey, there are political allegations regarding the establishment of the republic. This critique is increasingly evolving into a rejection of both the state and politics, transcending the pursuit of a new state formation and understanding.
