Bu araştırma, Akdeniz bölgesindeki en çok ziyaret edilen kentlerde dijital göçebelerin yaşam tarzlarını ve motivasyonlarını incelemektedir. NomadList yorumları üzerinden yapılan kapsamlı analiz, doğal dil işleme yöntemleriyle kelime sıklıklarını çözümleyerek kullanıcıların duygu ve algılarını ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışmada Python, Jupyter Notebook, NLTK ve Pandas gibi araçlar kullanılmıştır. SWOT analizi aracılığıyla Paris, Barselona, Roma, Atina ve İstanbul’un güçlü ve zayıf yönleri, fırsatları ve tehditleri belirlenmiştir. Bulgulara göre dijital göçebeler bu kentleri kültürel zenginlikleri ve tarihsel değerleri nedeniyle tercih etmekte; ancak güvenlik sorunları ve yüksek yaşam maliyetleri öne çıkan zorluklar arasında yer almaktadır. Araştırma, bu olumsuzlukların azaltılması ve hem yerel halk hem de ziyaretçiler için yaşam kalitesinin artırılmasına yönelik stratejiler geliştirilmesini önermektedir.
This study explores the lifestyles and motivations of digital nomads in the most visited Mediterranean cities. Based on NomadList comments, natural language processing techniques were applied to analyze word frequencies and capture user sentiments. Data processing relied on Python, Jupyter Notebook, NLTK, and Pandas. A SWOT analysis was conducted for Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Athens, and Istanbul, identifying each city’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Findings reveal that digital nomads value these destinations for their cultural richness and historical heritage, while concerns such as safety issues and high living costs remain significant challenges. The study highlights the novelty of its approach by integrating sentiment analysis with SWOT evaluation, filling a gap in the existing literature. It further recommends strategies to mitigate negative perceptions and enhance overall quality of life for both residents and visitors, thereby supporting sustainable attractiveness of these cities for the global nomadic community.
