ÖZ: Türkiye’de son on yıldır kadın cinayetleri kamuoyunda daha fazla ses getirmeye başlamıştır. Yaşanan vahşet görüntülerine karşın kadınlara yönelik şiddet hız kesmeden devam etmektedir. Bu noktada hukuksal eksikliklerin yanı sıra medyanın nasıl bir konum üstlenmekte olduğunun gösterilmesi önem arz etmektedir. Özellikle son birkaç yıl içerisinde sosyal medya olanaklarının artması sonucunda, kadınlara yönelik cinayetlerin ve bu cinayetlerin sonucunda ortaya çıkan hukuksal sonuçların kamuoyunda daha fazla konuşulur olması dikkat çekicidir. Kadına yönelik işlenen suçlarda sosyal medya giderek daha yoğun bir biçimde hukukun yerine geçmeye başlamıştır. Artık medyanın gündeme getirdiği bütün kadın cinayetleri başta twitter olmak üzere sosyal medya platformları üzerinden geniş kitleler ile buluşmakta ve kamuoyunun olup bitenlere yönelik tepkisi, daha fazla ses getirmektedir. Hatta zaman zaman buralarda yankılanan tepkilerin sonucunda adli makamlar harekete geçmek durumunda kalmakta ve zanlıların tutukluluk hallerinin sürdürülmesi konusunda kararlar hayata geçirilebilmektedir.
ABSTRACT: In the last ten years in Turkey, Femicides have started to attract more public attention. Despite the images of brutality experienced, violence against women continues unabated. At this point, it is important to show the position of the media as well as the legal deficiencies. Especially in the last few years, as a result of the increas in social media opportunies, it is remarkable that the murders against women and the legal concequences resulting from these murders are more talked about in the public. In crimes against women, social media has increasingly begun to replace the law. Now, all femicides brought to the agenda by the media are met with large masses on social media platforms, especially on Twitter, and the public’s reaction to what is going on makes more noise. In fact, from time to time, as a result of the reactions that resonate here, the judical authorities have to take action and decisions can be made regarding the continuation of the detention of the suspects.
