Sociologca is an free, open access, international peer-reviewed journal published twice a year in the field of sociology, in June and December.
Journal History
The journal began its publication life in 2011 as a print edition by Doğu Kitabevi, a publishing imprint of Yeni Alan Publishing. Since 2021, it has been published as a free, open-access e-journal alongside its print counterpart.
Sosyologca began its publication life under the editorship of Ertan Eğribel and Ufuk Özcan. Its first 17 issues were published under these editors. From the 18th and 19th issues in 2020, it began publishing under the editorship of Ertan Eğribel and Yüksel Yıldırım.
Sosyologca has continued its publication in print and e-journal form since 2025, with its 29th issue edited by Yüksel Yıldırım.
