Ulus edebiyatının en önemli isimlerinden biri olan Kemal Tahir’in, sosyalist düşüncesinin romanlarına yansıması incelenirken, romanları arasındaki ilişkisel bağlara ve vurguladığı noktalara dikkat edilmesi gerekmektedir. Kemal Tahir’in kalıp düşüncelerin karşısında durduğu göz önünde tutularak, bir ulusun çöküş hikâyesini yorumlayışındaki etkin eleştirileri üzerinden düşünce seyrinin haritası ortaya konulmalıdır. Yazarın düşünce haritasında beliren batılılaşma meselesini, ethos üzerinden nasıl açıkladığı bütünlüklü bir bakışla ortaya konulmalıdır. Kemal Tahir’in entelektüel yorumlaması ve arayışıyla gündeme getirdiği ‘çekirdek’, esasında batılılaşma meselesinin başladığı ve bittiği yerde duran toplumun ethosudur. Bu doğrultuda Kemal Tahir’in bir ulusun ethosunu işlerken, tutarlı bir süreklilik çizgisi takip edip etmediği bu çalışmada incelenecek, Batılılaşma eleştirisinin romanlarının ana teması haline gelmesinin kökleri araştırılacaktır. Çalışmada, Kemal Tahir’in bir romancı olduğu unutulmadan entelektüel kimliğinin yansımaları ortaya konulacaktır.
When examining the reflection of Kemal Tahir, one of the most important figures of national literature, on the socialist thought in his novels, it is necessary to pay attention to the relational ties between his novels and the points he emphasizes. Taking into account that Kemal Tahir stands in the way of thoughts, a map of the course of thought should be put forward through his effective criticisms in interpreting the story of the collapse of a nation. How the author explains the issue of westernization, which appears on the thought map, through ethos, should be put forward with a holistic view. The ‘core’, which Kemal Tahir brought up with his intellectual interpretation and search, is essentially the ethos of society that stands where the issue of westernization begins and ends. In this direction, whether Kemal Tahir follows a consistent line of continuity while processing the ethos of a nation will be examined in this study, and the roots of how criticism of Westernization has become the main theme of his novels will be investigated. In the study, the reflections of Kemal Tahir's intellectual identity will be revealed without forgetting that he is a novelist.
