Kemal Tahir, kalıplar ve etiketlerle düşünmeye karşı çıkmış, en büyük tepkiyi kalıplarla yetinmeyen gözlem ve saptamaları dolayısıyla almıştır. Kemal Tahir de en az Marx kadar kendisiyle tanımlanır önemde bir yazar ve düşünürdür. Kemal Tahir’in Marxisme ile ilgili yargısını ise söylentilerden çok Marxisme’i Kemal Tahir düşünce sistemi içinde ele alıp değerlendirerek kestirmenin daha geçerli bir yol olduğunu düşünmekteyiz. Marxisme’in yurdumuzda kazandığı görüntü Türk düşünürlerinin Marxisme ile olan ilişkilerinin anlaşılmasında bazı güçlüklere yol açmaktadır. Kemal Tahir, sorunların gerçek boyutlarıyla ve evrensel düzeyde, toplumlar arası ilişkiler düzeyinde ele alınması gerekliliğini bize anımsatmıştır. Tasa Marxisme’i çürütmek değil aşmaktır. Marxisme, Batı düşüncesinde bir yol kazası değildir. Bu nedenle bilmezden gelmek ya da Batı düşüncesini yanlışlardan arındırmak amaç olamaz. Gerekli olan Marxisme’le de hesaplaşmak ve onu aşmaktır. Bu konuda sürdürülecek çabalarda Kemal Tahir düşüncesi bizlere yol göstermektedir.
Kemal Tahir objected to thinking in terms of patterns and labels, and received the greatest reaction due to his observations and determinations that were not content with stereotypes. Kemal Tahir is a writer and thinker who can be identified with himself at least as much as Marx. We think that it is a more valid way to predict Kemal Tahir's judgment about Marxism by considering and evaluating Marxisme within the Kemal Tahir thought system rather than rumors. The appearance of Marxisme in our country causes some difficulties in understanding the relations of Turkish thinkers with Marxisme. Kemal Tahir reminded us that the problems should be dealt with in their real dimensions and at the universal level, at the level of inter-communal relations. The concern is not to refute Marxisme but to transcend it. Marxisme is not a road accident in Western thought. For this reason, ignoring or purging Western thought from errors cannot be the goal. What is necessary is to come to terms with Marxisme and to overcome it. Kemal Tahir's thought guides us in the efforts to be continued in this regard.
