Muhafazakârlık terimi kendisini modern toplum içinde bulmaktadır. Özellikle Fransız devrimi öncesi dönemde muhafazakâr olmak çok bir anlam ifade etmemektedir. Ancak günümüzde post-modern insan kendisinin dünyayı değiştirme gücüne sahip olmadığına inandırmıştır. Değişime karşı olan inançsızlık en büyük muhafazakârlıktır. Tarihsel süreç içerisinde muhafazakârlık kendisini de değiştirmiştir. Günümüz toplumu içerisinde muhafazakârlık önem kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmada muhafazakârlığın durumu hakkında tarihsel bir inceleme sunulmuştur.
The term conservatism finds itself in modern society. Especially in the pre-French Revolution period, being conservative doesn't make much sense. Today, however, post-modern man has convinced himself that he does not have the power to change the world. Disbelief in change is the greatest conservatism. In the historical process, conservatism has also changed itself. Conservatism has gained importance in today's society. In this study, a historical review of the state of conservatism is presented.
