İstanbul tarih boyunca birçok farklı medeniyete ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Tarihsel ve kültürel geçmişi oldukça fazladır. Geçmişte olduğu gibi bugün de İstanbul’da kalabalık bir nüfus barınmaktadır. Günümüze gelinceye kadar şehir içerisindeki sorunlar bir şekilde gizlenmiştir. Ancak günümüz kalabalığının da etkisiyle artık bu sorunlar gizlenememektedir. Istanbul has hosted many different civilizations throughout history. It has a great historical and cultural background. As in the past, there is a large population living in Istanbul today. Until today, the problems in the city were somehow hidden. However, with the influence of today's crowd, these problems can no longer be hidden. The documentary Ecumenopolis also points to this situation. Examination and discussion of this documentary prepared with the opinions of experts in the field is the main subject of this article.
