Türkiye'de sosyoloji, 1914 yılında (bir tarihe göre 1912 yılında), devlet düzeyinde bir arayış ve muhalefet unsuru olmaktan çıkmış, akademik bir disiplin ve dünya görüşü olarak kurumsallaşmıştır. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda İstanbul Üniversitesi'nde sosyolojinin kurumsallaşması, devletin İttihat ve Terakki tarafından ele geçirilmesi ve yeni bir dünya görüşü yaratma çabası ile birliktedir. Bu çalışmada devlet düzeyinde üniversitede sosyolojinin Osmanlı'da kurumsallaşması üzerine tartışmalar yapılacaktır.
Sociology in Turkey, in 1914 (according to a date, in 1912), ceased to be an element of search and opposition at the state level and became institutionalized as an academic discipline and world view. The institutionalization of sociology at Istanbul University in the Ottoman Empire is together with the seizure of the state by the Committee of Union and Progress and an effort to create a new world view. In this study, discussions will be held on the the institutionalization of sociology in the Ottoman in the university at the state level.
