Bu makalede, bazı Türk yazarlarının öykü ve romanlarına bakarak; gotik kurgu içerisinde sadece mekân ve yapı seçimi ile ilgili bir değerlendirme yapılmak istenmiştir. Söz konusu yazarların eserlerinde konut yapısı olarak ‘köşk’ü gotik anlatının bir parçası haline getirmeleri dikkat çekici bir tercihtir. Kuşkusuz bu seçim rastgele yapılmamış ve düşüncenin arkasında kentin yönelimi ve mevcut kültür önemli rol oynamıştır.
In this article, by looking at the stories and novels of some Turkish writers; within the gothic fiction, it was aimed to make an evaluation only regarding the choice of space and structure. It is a striking preference that the authors in question have made the "villa" as a residential structure a part of the gothic narrative in their works. Undoubtedly, this choice was not made randomly, and behind the thought, the orientation of the city and the current culture have played an important role.
