Bu çalışmada, Doğu ve Batı meselesinin Türkiye'deki görünümünü Derviş Zaim Sineması üzerinden tartışmak amaçlanmaktadır. Sinema-edebiyat bağlamında ve Doğu-Batı tartışması ekseninde ele alınacaktır. Öncelikle Türk toplumunun Batılılaşma serüveni hakkında birkaç şey söylenecek ve tartışmalar bu noktadan hareketle gerçekleştirilecektir. Çalışmada, sanatçının neden Doğu ve Batı ile ilgili farklı damarlara kendini açabilmesi gerektiğinin altı çizilecektir.
In this study, it is aimed to discuss the appearance of the East and West issue in Turkey through Derviş Zaim cinema. It will be discussed in the context of cinema-literature and in the axis of the East-West debate. First of all, a few things will be said about the Westernization adventure of Turkish society and discussions will be carried out from this point. In the study, it will be underlined why the artist should be able to open herself/himself to different veins regarding the East and the West.
