Günümüzde iletişim teknolojisine verilen üstünlük, geniş kitleler tarafından da pasif olarak desteklenen bir disütopik iletişim çağı efsanesine dönüşmüştür. Başlangıçta, iletişim çağını, koşullardan bağımsız bir gelecek ve birliktelik, zaman ve mekân sınırlarının ortadan kalktığı, cennetvari, çelişkisiz, çatışmasız bir gelecek beklentisi olarak efsaneleştiren görüşler savunulamaz olmuştur. Çalışmada bu noktalar üzerinde durulacaktır. Bu anlamda, iletişim çağı efsanesi ve iletişim araçlarının gücü, sosyal medya ve sanal topluluklar, iletişim araçlarına dayalı anti-sosyalleşme çerçevesinde tartışmalar yürütülecektir.
Today, the superiority given to communication technology has turned into a dysutopic communication age legend, which is also passively supported by large masses. In the beginning, the views that legend the communication age as the expectation of a future and togetherness independent of conditions and a heavenly, non-contradictory, conflict-free future where the boundaries of time and space disappear have been untenable. These points will be emphasized in the study. In this sense, discussions will conduct within the framework of the legend of the communication age and the power of communication tools, social media and virtual communities, anti-socialization based on communication tools.
