Gezi Parkı direnişinin bir komünle somutlanması, “yeni bir dünya” perspektifinin 21. yüzyılda Türkiye’de ilk kez elle tutulabilir, gözle görülebilir bir hal almasına vesile oldu. Gezi Parkı’nda üretilen müzik de tıpkı duvar yazıları ve atılan sloganlar gibi muzip bir içeriğe sahipti. Kendini mizahın faili haline getirme ve iktidara karşı kayıtsız kalma hâli müziğe de yansıyordu. Bu süreçte bir yandan halk türküleri Gezi formatına dönüşürken, benzer bir dönüşüm popüler müzik türlerinde de yaşanmıştır. Gerek yerli, gerekse yabancı müzik parçaları bu süreçte bu biçime uygun olarak yeniden düzenlenmiştir. Bu anlamda Gezi Ruhu'nun biçimlenmesinde müzik de muhalefetin biçimi ve bir aracı olarak belirgin bir biçimde kullanılmıştır.
The resistance of Gezi Park materialized as a commune and this became instrumental in the materialization of a “new world” perspective in the 21st century Turkey for the first time as a concrete, visible thing. The music produced in the Gezi Park had a humorous content like the graffiti and slogans. The attitude of being the actor of humour and ignoring the power was also reflected in the music. While the popular folk songs were changed into the format of Gezi, a similar transformation was lived in other musical forms. Both national and foreign songs were redesigned according to this form. As such music was also used as a tool and form of opposition during the formation process of the spirit of Gezi.
