ÖZ: Türk toplumu meşrutiyetin ilanından itibaren yönünü Batı’ya çevirdiğini açıkça göstermiştir. Osmanlı’nın son döneminde uygulamaya çalıştığı diğer reçeteler işe yaramamıştır. Son çare olarak Batıcılaşma görülmüş ve her alanda uygulanılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu durum her dönem için belirli sorunlar doğurmuştur. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kuruluş yıllarından beri aynı politika devam ettirilmiştir. Türkiye’nin ‘‘küçük Amerika’’ olma düşüncesi hep var olmuştur. 1960’lı yıllarda tüm dünyada önemli değişimler olmakla birlikte ülkemiz de büyük dönüşümler içerisine girmiştir. Özellikle İkinci Dünya Savaşı’nın sonundan itibaren kurulan ‘‘yeni dünya düzeni’’ tüm toplumlara kabul ettirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Artık tarihin sonunun geldiği belirtilmiştir. Toplumların yeni bir siyaset ve çözüm üretemeyeceği fikri dayatılmıştır. Bu durumun temel nedeni mevcut şartların korunmasıdır. Batı kendi egemenliğini tüm dünya üzerinde kurmuştur ve korumak istemektedir. Bu yüzden bir nevi ‘‘ilüzyon’’ ortaya koymuştur. Bu yanılsamanın nedenlerini ve sonuçlarını incelemek önemlidir. Yeni bir siyasi düzen ve çözüm yolu geliştirilmelidir. Bu çalışmada da ülkemizde meydana gelen bu dönüşüm süreci özellikle 1960’lı ve 1980’li yıllar açısından incelenecektir.
ABSTRACT: Turkish society has clearly shown that it has turned its direction to the West since the proclamation of the constitutional monarchy. Other prescriptions that the Ottomans tried to implement in the last period did not work. Westernization was seen as a last solution and tried to be applied in every field. This situation has created certain problems for each period. The same policy has been continued since the founding years of the Turkish Republic. The idea of Turkey being a "little America" has always existed. In the 1960s, although there were important changes all over the world, our country also went through great transformations. Especially since the end of the Second World War, the "new world order" has been tried to be accepted by all societies. It has now been stated that the end of history has come. The idea that societies cannot produce a new policy and solution has been imposed. The main reason for this situation is the preservation of existing conditions. The West has established its dominance over the whole world and wants to protect it. That's why he created a kind of "illusion". It is important to examine the causes and consequences of this illusion. A new political order and solution must be developed. In this study, this transformation process that took place in our country will be examined especially in terms of the 1960s and 1980s.
